The Algerian Whip Snake (Coluber algirus) is a species of snake. It reaches 1 meter long and has features such as a colors of a grayish brown with a darker head, often with dark stripes on the back, belly and clear. It hunts small animals during the day in droughts.

Habitat[]

Rocky places, also in abandoned buildings and piles of stones. Possibly introduced in Europe by cargo ships from North Africa. Not found in many places in Europe. Rare species.

Introduced accidentely, but has not been able to breed in our climate, with only a couple known breeding pairs.
