Blue Bordered Carpet - K.Noble

The Blue-bordered Carpet (Plemyria rubiginata) is a moth found throughout Europe.

The wingspan is 22–28 mm. The moth flies from June to the beginning of September. This species is mostly white, but has a blue-grey outer border, and red-brown markings.

The larva feed on many kinds of trees and bushes, including alder and blackthorn.
