The Chimney Sweeper (Odezia atrata) is a species of moth in the Geometridae family.
This species is common and widespread in Northern and Central Britain and Ireland. Flying by day in June and July, this unmistakable species is black with chalk white tips. In southern Britain, where it is rare, this species is found in chalk downland and lime-stone grasslands, but in northern Britain, a wider range of habitats. This species has been recorded once in the Channel Islands. Very rare in East Anglia else where recorded regualrly.
