The Compact Brome (Anisantha madritensis) is a species of plant in the Poaceae family.
This species is a Red Data Book species in Britain, ocurring in south west England and the Channel Islands. This species inhabits sand dunes and cliffs, and can be idenfied by its spikes which stand erect rather than droop like the similar species Barren Brome (Anisantha sterilis).
