The Convolvulus Hawkmoth (Agrius convolvuli) is a species of hawkmoth. This large moth is a regular immigrant to the South of Britain, but can appear anywhere, usually coastal though. This large moth is similar to the Privet Hawkmoth (Sphinx ligustri), but is usually larger. The Convolvulus Hawkmoth also has a more patterned forewing, which is a brown-grey. The abdomen has bands of pink and black. This species can be found in Britain from any time from June till December, but usually from August till November.
