Coral-spot Fungus (Nectria cinnabarnai) is a plant pathogen that causes cankers on many tree species and also a disease known as coral spot. it grows to about two mm across. It is a tiny but distictive fungus which form clusters of orange-pink inflated cushions and cinnabar-red lumps on the dead and dying twigs and branches of deciduous trees. It is wide spread and often very common; can be found throughout the year.
