Granite is a intrusive, felsic Igneous rock. It is formed when a felsic intrution intruded into the country rock. It cools slowly and gives it a medium-coarse grain texture.
It is made up of Quartz, Plagioclase Feldspar, Orthoclase Feldspar and Biotite Mica. It is impermeable and forms as Batholiths in the Earth's crust.
