The Ground Lackey (Malacosoma castrensis) is a species of moth in the Lasiocampidae family.

This species is classed as Nationally Scarce A in Britain, and is much rarer than it's close relative, the Lackey (M. neustria). This species inhabits sandy habitats in the South of Britain. This species is very similar to the Lackey, but has much weaker crosslines, which may be absent completly. The first crossline also turns slightly towards the abdomen, whereas the first crossline in the Lackey doesn't.
