The Tusk Shell (Dentalium entalis) is a species of mollusc found in Britain.
This species is unlike any other British mollusc, being a long, slender tube, which gets thinner near the top of the shell.
Tusk Shell - Purple Centipede
This species is found in deeper water around the cost in sand and mud. A foot with several tentacles can be seen near the broad part when alive. This species can reach 5cm long, but is often smaller.
