The Lesser Common Rustic (Mesapamea didyma) is a moth in the Noctuid family.

Very similar to the Common Rustic and Remm's Rustic, which can be only confidently identified by dissection of the genitilia. The Lesser Common Rustic is generally smaller than the Common Rustic, and usually is black with chalky white kidney dot.

This species flies from July-August, and is oftn attracted to light.

This species has a length of 11-16mm.
