The Lettuce Shark (Cucullia lactucae) is a species of moth in the Noctuidae family.
This species is exceedingly similar to the Shark, and can be identified by two fine, jagged black crosslines across the centre of the forewing. This species has few records in Britain, and those are doubtful. The most recent is from 1965, but the specimen wasn't kept, so it could have been just a odd Shark. This species is from mainland Europe, and is on the wing during May till July.
