The Long Earthworm (Allobophora longa) is a species of earthworm in the Lumbricidae family.
This species is can reach 15cm in length, so is one of the larger worms to be found in Britain. This species has the rear end flattened, but the rest of the worm is cylindrical. This species can be brown or brown-grey in colour, but the first few segments are darker. This species inhabits, gardens, fields and woodlands, and is often found in compost heaps. At night, sometimes comes to the surface.
