The Merveille du Jour (Dichonia aprilina) is a species of moth in the Noctuidae family.
This species is widespread in southern and central Britain, and flies in Autumn. This moth is unmistakable, with lichen green forewings, which have black markings, which gives it it's vernacular name, which means Marvel of the Day in French. This species is quite slender, only similar species is the rarer Scarce Merveille du Jour, which has broader forewings, and has parts of it's wings reddish-brown. Rarely mostly black.
