The Mother of Pearl (Pleuroptya ruralis) is a British micro moth.

One of the largest micro moths, this common species is larger than many macro moth species. This species has a wingspan of 25-40mm. This species is common throughout Britain, and is often attracted to light. It's wings are a pearly colour, hence it's name.

The larvea feed on Nettle.
