The Northern Dart (Xestia lpicola alpina) is a species of moth in the Noctuidae family.

This medium sized moth can range from sandy brown to a dark brown, and has grey-white markings. The kidney mark is usually orange-brown, and the oval is usually white or brownish. There are sometimes black crosslines, but in darker specimens these may be absent.

This species is classed as Nationally Scarce A in Britain, and is restricted to the mountains of Scotland, where it is fairly widespread. Also found in northern England and Shetland.

The larvea feed on Crowberry, Bilberry, Heather and several other plants.
