Powdered quaker

Powdered quaker (Orthosia gracilis) is a spring-time moth of the Noctuidae family, although it is less common than the Common quaker and the Small quaker.

This species is quite variable, ranging from almost white and specky, to reddish brown, and even grey. In the darker forms, the oval and kidney marks are generally reddish. Sometimes the outermost crossline is also reddish.
