The Purple-bordered Gold (Idaea muricata) is a species of moth in the Geometridae family.

This species is classed as Nationally Scarce B in Britain, and is restricted to wetland and heathland habitats in England and Wales, including bogs, heaths and other wetlands. This species is red-purple with gold patches in the centre. In some forms, there is little gold, in others, alot.
