The Purple Saxifrage (Saxifrage oppositfolia) is a species of plant in the Saxifragaceae family.

This species is found in the highlands of Northern and Western Britain. In Europe, it is found in the mountains and Arctic (the specimen pictured was from Iceland). The flowers have broad, pink-purple flowers, and the leaves are small and rounded. This species is found on bare rocks, scree and steep slopes. Found up to and over 1000 metres.
