Raspberry plant bearing fruit - Thomas Love

The Raspberry (Rubus idaeus) is a tall perennial whose woody biennial stems have weak prickles. Each stem usually lives for two years, producing fruit in the secoind year and then dying off. The dead stems are replaced. The fruit is smaller than in cultivated forms. Found in woodland, scrubland and heathland. Commonest in the north.
