The Red-breasted Goose (Branta ruficollis) is a goose which breeds in tundra, and is found as a regular vagrant in Britain. This species often arrives when it is migrating, espcially when there are strong winds. This species is black and white, with two prominent white bars, and a red breast.

Quite a small goose, with a length of 54-60cm, and a wingspan of 110-125cm. It is quite a stocky bird, with a short neck.
