The Short-tailed Blue (Everes argiades) is a species of butterfly in the Lycaenidae family.
With 17 British records, this is one of the rarest vagrant butterflies to Britain, and is also known as the Bloxworth Blue, due to the first British record. The males of this species have blue wings, with a thin black and white border, while the females are a duller blue with a much larger black border. Both sexes have a small black mark on the forewig, and a small "tail" on the hindwing. The underside is similar to that of the Holly Blue.
