This is one of the smallest macro moth species found in Britain, being less than a cm in length. This species is a pale straw colour, and has a dark crossline, usually being paler after that. Individuals which breed here on years of good immigrantion are darker.
This species is a rare immigrant to Britain, with few records in most years, though in some years, there can be decent numbers. Native to North Africa.
The larvae feed on Fleabane, in the flower heads.
