The Small Ranunculus (Hecatera dysodea) is a species of moth in the Noctuidae family.
This small Noctuid is similar in size to the Broad-barred White, but is more similar to the Feathered Ranunculus in colouration. This species is green, with a darker green patch, containing the pale green oval and kidney mark. The crossbands are white. This species is on the wing from late Spring to mid-Autumn.
Habitat & RangeEdit
This species is a Red Data Book species, and is restricted to a few counties in south eastern England and Wales. This species is now spreading, inhabits gardens and wastegrounds, feeding of Prickly Lettuce.
