Tinea trinotella is a species of moth in the Tineidae family.


A small moth, similar to the clothes moths, this species is yellow with an orange head and black dots.

WIdespread and common in much of England and Wales, more scarce in Scotland and Ireland.


The larvae feed on woolen material in bird's nests, and unlike the clothes moths, will not be found inside.
