The Triangle (Heterogenea asella) is a species of moth in the Limacodidae family.

A truely tiny macro moth, probably overlooked as a micro, is reaches a maximum length of 7mm. A small brown moth, this species holds it's wings in a distinctive fashion, and holds it's wings like a tent, in a triangle, hence the name.

This species is a Red Data Book species, and is restricted to ancient oak woodlands in Hampshire, Susex, Kent, Essex and Wiltshire. Also the odd record from elsewhere.

The larvae feed on Oak and Beech.
