The Welsh Clearwing (Synanthedon scoliaeformis) is a species of moth in the Sesiidae family. This species is classed as a Red Data Book species in Britain, and is only found in parts of Wales, Scotland, and Northern England. This species inhabits moorlands and woodlands. A fairly large clearwing, this species has an orange/yellow tip to the black abdomen, which has two yellow bands on it. The thorax has two thin yellow stripes on it. The antennae are black with a yellow tip to them.
