The White-barred Clearwing (Synanthedon spheciformis) is a species of moth in the Sesiidae family.Like all Clearwings, this family can be identified by the fact it flies during the day and has clearwings. This species is a large clearwing, with a wingspan of about 30mm, but can be larger (though often smaller). This species has a single white/yellow band on the black abdomen. The thorax has two thin yellow/white stripes and a small dot. The legs and antennae are black and yellow. There is no coloured tip to the abdomen.
