The Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is a species of plant in the Asteraceae family.
Found in most of England and Wales, parts of Scotland and is scattered in Ireland, this species is very similar to Mugwort. The leaves are split, and appear silvery green. The flowerheads are in groups, and often droop, and can be seen during Summer. This species inhabits wastegrounds, though is more common near the coast.
